PAN1026 - Documentation, RED EN300 328 V2 1 1, Payload, Service Name,Transparent UART (Cable replacement over SPP)

The documentation guide on the website for the PAN1026 highlights many documents, but none are listed on the website from what I can see. Where can I get these documents from?

 Please could you confirm the module meets with RED EN 300 328 V2 1 1 on RX Spurious Emissions tests?

 Please could you confirm the maximum payload using SPP (over the air, sustained)

 Please could you tell me if it is possible to rename the service name

Does the module support a transparent UART i.e. cable replacement over SPP. If so, how do I access this mode?

    The PAN1026 is based on the TC35661-501 chipset from Toshiba. The Bluetooth SDK and many documents are available from Toshiba. The registration page can be found at https://apps.toshiba.de/web/SDKRegistration/

    Do you mean the max. data rate that can be achieved using Bluetooth Classic SPP? If the host controller is able to drive the UART at a speed of 921.6kBps, then around 60kByte per second can be achieved.

    Please could you tell me if it is possible to rename the service name

    The device name can be freely chosen, as well as the Bluetooth Classic SPP service UUID.

    No, the PAN1026 provides a command-oriented interface only, where the data from the host needs to be packetized.

    Yes, it does.

    Having looked on the Toshiba pages, I still can't seem to find the majority of the documentation listed in the documentation guide. Where do I find these documents?

    These are the low-level chip and command documents, which describe in great detail the inner workings of the protocol that needs to be spoken between a host application processor and the PAN1026 over UART.

    Luckily, there is a SDK available which nicely abstracts all the complicated, low-level plumbing and provides nice and clean software API.

    The current version is 3.2, which includes a sample project for the "PAN1026 EXPERIMENTER KIT" that has Cortex-M3 processor from Toshiba as a host-controller.

    This kit can serve as a starting point for the evaluation of PAN1026.

    The SDK features many documents that describe how to integrate the Bluetooth SDK into your own design as well.
