PAN1026a eval board.

I am using the PAN1026A with a Kinetis microcontroller. We are using the SDK in Bluetooth Classic SPP with simple secure pairing. The device is a client an request to connect come from a PC or mobile phone. We are connecting but does not appear stable. I think we still have some problems with porting the one size fits all SDK.

Do you think it is worth buying the USB eval board and log the messages to see if the difference between our system and the eval board. Can this board be configured as a Bluetooth classic client?

Historically, the PAN1026(A) ETU ("USB eval board") can only be used together with the EasySPP and EasyBLE Windows applications. While these application allow a log file to be saved, they cannot be modified by you. In contrast to other ETUs like for PAN1760A and PAN1762 there is no software package available that will allow you use the Toshiba Bluetooth SDK from a Windows-based application.

The primary development platform for PAN1026(A) is the ENW89837AWKF platform ("experimenter kit"). This has a Cortex-M3 host processor running FreeRTOS and using the Toshiba Bluetooth SDK.

Sample projects are included in the Toshiba Bluetooth SDK - please look out for "host mode" and "TC35661-551".

PAN1026(A) can be configured as both Bluetooth Classic Slave ("client") and Master device and the sample software for the 2 boards (ETU and experimenter kit) support this as well.

This description is rather vague. :-) If you have more information about the nature of the problem, we might be able to help.

Please keep in mind that the problem can also be on the "other" side, like an Android app you might be using. Sometimes it is beneficial to use a different "other" side when trying to locate a problem.
