Panasonic equivalent to Gainspan GS2011MIZ

Does Panasonic have WiFi modules similar to Gainspan GS2011MIZ?

They are currently using: http://www.gainspan.com/products/gs2011miz_mie

  • Integrated WiFi module
  • External antenna connector
  • 802.11b/g/n
  • Serial port to connect to a microcontroller, e.g. SPI, TTL/CMOS UART
  • Ability to switch between client and AP modes without rebooting the module

Thank you

  • Please have a look at PAN9320.
It exactly matches your requirement and can use AP and client mode simultaneously.

  • Thank you for your response on this.  Here is another question pertaining to this.

Customer is using an "external" antenna.  So I believe that would be our PAN9310.  Customer needs to put a certain type of connector on the board.  It is the Hirose UF.L series. Datasheet link: https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/Hirose%20PDFs/UFL%20Series.pdf

Will the RF pad layout on the 9310 accommodate this connector?  I could not find any supporting info on the 9310 option for this.

  • PAN9310 does have an RF in/out over 50 Ω bottom pad on pin number 16.

See datasheet and application note for PAN9310/20.

  • Can you please get me the link to datasheet, user manual, and/or drawings showing the exact dimensions of the solder pads for the PAN9310 RF Pads? All the documentation I have seen on the datasheet does not show the dimensions of RF solder pad. Thank you.

  • Datasheet chapter 3.2 [LINK] shows the footprint.

    PAN9310 and PAN9320 are identical.

PIN 16 is NC for PAN9320 and RF for PAN9310 -> also see datasheet

  • The recommondation for PAN9320 is more than one year old.
Please consider the updated version PAN9420.

The size of the Pads is shown in chapter 3.2 of the datasheet LINK
