No Sidetone on cordless phone :-(

My old Uniden cordless phone developed a hum and crackle.  I just replaced it with a Panasonic kx-tg832sk.  The new phone has more features than I need and I was very happy with it until I made my first call and found it didn't have sidetone.  How can you make a phone and not provide sidetone?  It feels like I'm talking to the wall instead of having a conversation.  Sidetone has been a phone feature since the 19th century.  It's amazing that it was left out.  I don't even know what to do.  If I returned it, how would I know if what I replaced it with had sidetone.  I'm sure a store clerk wouldn't even know what I was talking about, and I've never seen it listed as a feature for any phone, it's just always been there.  I'm very disappointed!

  • Jeff, I'm sorry: this Panasonic Industrial Devices forum is for design and production engineers that have questions about adding Panasonic Bluetooth and/or Panasonic Wi-Fi modules to a product.

You can try browsing the Panasonic Consumer website through online articles or livechat - instead.
